Eating healthy foods helps kids stay focused and energized throughout the day. We are pleased to provide nutritious, balanced meals to help kids eat well so they can succeed in school.

Free Breakfast & Lunch

All students enrolled in Austin Area School District will receive a free breakfast and free lunch during the 2023–2024 school year under the Community Eligibility Program (CEP). This is regardless of student or family eligibility for the free and reduced lunch program, and no documentation or application is required.

The CEP program does not apply to a-la-carte items. This means students must pay for a second lunch, an extra entrée, or any snack items (with the exception of a free after-school snack).

After-School Snack Program

Take one for the road! All students may pick up a free snack immediately after school.

Special Dietary Needs

We will provide reasonable accommodations for children who are unable to eat school meals because of a disability that restricts their diet. Please complete the following form and submit it to the school:

The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
